Important question

Hey there.
I was wondering if anyone with any photography know-how knows what macro lenses work with a nikon D40, i'm hoping to find one that will have auto focus (the main problem with my D40 and the compatibility with macro lenses) but i could live with manual if it will make for a better picture.

All Nikon cameras have lenses that fit on one another.
My dad has a d40 and he gave me the old 35mm which is like... 18 years old. He took all the lenses and uses them on his D40. :)

yes, i understand that, i wasn't worried about the fit. It's the auto focus. But that link did help. I'd seen that one before and wanted to see if there were any cheaper alternatives before i got that one. But i think i'm gonna get that one
